Which FLEXI-BAR?
There are two FLEXI-BARs available; a standard red bar (the FLEXI-BAR Pro) and an Athletic black bar (Athletic FLEXI-BAR). The FLEXI-BAR Pro is recommended for beginners and improvers. The Athletic bar is recommended for athletes who weigh over 90kg and are currently participating in any type of sport. The FLEXI-BAR ATHLETIC is the same length as the FLEXI-BAR Pro however the fibres inside the ATHLETIC are more dense, making the FLEXI-BAR much harder to swing and control. We recommend that only the very experienced, very fit and very strong enthusiasts use this FLEXI-BAR. It is not recommended for beginners.
A slightly different, shorter, original version (called simply the "FLEXI-BAR", rather than our FLEXI-BAR Pro) is available from some other outlets which is not as robust, which is heavier and has a different handle (made of rubber and not foam like ours). The original version "FLEXI-BAR" is designed for home use only, and is suitable for one person to use three times a week for 10/20 minutes. It is not intended for gym use, personal trainers or really for more than one person to use regularly.
In comparison, the FLEXI-BAR Pro that we sell is more robust and is used by elite athletes around the world and is favoured by physiotherpists and personal trainers, although equally ideal for beginners.
Anyone that has tried both, always chooses to use the FLEXI-BAR Pro that we sell over the other version :) Having used both versions, I find the FLEXI-BAR Pro much more effective at targeting the core muscles and I have seen results in a shorter space of time since I swapped to this version.
