Current safety testing looks for immediate reactions such as skin redness, rashes or stinging. It does not look for potential long-term problems in humans or in the environment. In our search to find brands we ourselves would like to use, we have found products labelled as "natural" and "organic", and even being certified as organic but still using ingredients that are actually classified as toxic (or toxic to various body functions such as the immune and reproductive systems), carcinogenic or endocrine disruptors. Just look for names like: phenoxyethanol, methylparaben etc in your "natural" products.
Surely this is just scaremongering?
Its easy to be sceptical and think that is just our sales pitch. Scaremongering to boost sales, but just look at parabens as one example.
