Which Inversion Table?

Why Teeter?
When considering which inversion table to use my first thought was safety, that is my major concern about hanging upside down by my ankles. I have heard stories of them breaking while people were using them and this just didn't bare thinking about. Research into the durability of the inversion table on the market revealed little except for the Teeter Range. Their inversion table is tested by an independent lab, the Underwriters Laboratories, who compared the Teeter range to others in the market. They tested inversion tables from (in alphabetical order): Kettler (Apollo), Life Gear (75112), Life Gear (75128), Motion Fitness (GT1000), Stamina (Inversion Pro 551529), Teeter Hang Ups (F5000), Weslo (System WLBE). Teeter seem to be the only people releasing this information and it is not surprising as their F5000 inversion table is shown to be far stronger and more durable than the others.
Which one?

Table

Safety for an inversion table is related to the weight it can support (static load test) and the number of times it can invert (cycle test) without structural damage. The results are shown above. In the Static Load Test the Teeter actually surpasses the US medical equipment standard for inversion tables, of four times the max user weight, by 20%. While in the Cycle Test, inverting the manufactures stated max load, they did equally impressively by out lasting their nearest competitor by 38851 cycles, or nearly 50 years! Incredibly and worryingly, one unit had a serious structural failure after the equivalent of 5 months use. It's not just the inconvenience returning the item it's the risk of serious injury that concerns me most. When you get your unit you will understand why it is so durable, the unit screams quality and security.

Which Teeter Table is right for me?

You've decided that the Teeter Hang Ups is your brand of choice, but now you're faced with determining which inversion product best suits your needs. Below you'll find a brief description of each model to help you find the product best suited to you. Alternatively, please click here for the Teeter Product Comparison Chart.

F5000
Teeter's basic model inversion table, the F5000 is the most economic option (no bells and whistles) but nonetheless which obviously meets Teeter's exacting quality standards for product quality and user friendliness. The earliest version of this model was made in 1983, and over the years has been upgraded over 78 times to improve durability, ease of use, and function. Owner’s manual and instructional DVD included

F7000
As we have had many enquiries asking how our F5000 and F9000 differ from the F7000 available elsewhere, we have included this breakdown for your information. The F7000 is the basic F5000 model but with additional features (also available to purchase separately with the F5000). These additional features are: corner feet, an EZ-Angle tether strap and the EZ-Stretch Traction Handles. Providing added benefit to inverted stretching and decompression, the handles can also be used as a tool for intermittent traction and oscillation. Owner’s manual, instructional DVD and 90-page book on inversion included

F9000
With its knee-high, easy-to-reach handle and ratcheting ankle clamps, the F9000 is ideal for those who have difficultly bending down to secure their ankles. With corner feet and an EZ-Angle tether strap (which offers preset angles to 20, 40 and 60 degrees) the F9000 comes with many features to make the inversion process easy and comfortable. Owner’s manual, instructional DVD and 90-page book on inversion included.

Power II
Inversion is taken to a whole new level with the Power II! Unlike other inversion products that require individualised adjustments, this motorised table is operated with the push of a button. Slowly and easily inverting to any desired angle using a patented rotational mechanism, the bed is sufficiently fixed at that angle to allow stretching and light exercise without bed movement. Owner’s manual and 90-page book on inversion included

DEX II - decompression & extension
A unique take on inversion equipment, the DEX allows the user to rotate forward and hang with the hips parallel to the floor, focusing traction on the lower back. This position allows for back extensions without risking hyperextension. Patented applied for traction handles allow users to increase decompression of the lower back. The DEX II is a popular home-use inversion product because of its compact size and unique benefits. Owner's manual included
